Slipknot’s Sid Wilson fired from band after nearly 30 years: report.
Slipknot has fired DJ and keyboardist Sid Wilson after nearly 30 years — and just months after the rocker’s split with fianceé Kelly Osbourne, according to a report.
The “Duality” musician, 49, was notified late Friday afternoon that he had been permanently let go from the legendary heavy metal group, TMZ reported.
No explanation for the decision has been reported, and the band has yet to announce a replacement.
Wilson joined Slipknot in 1998 as their ninth member, shortly before the release of their self-titled debut album in 1999, and he remained with the group for 28 years. He performed under the stage name “#0” and handled turntables, keyboards, samples and sound effects for the Grammy-winning metal band.
