Singapore’s melodic hardcore band Isles released a brand new track yesterday called ‘Departure‘. The group consisting of Bryan (vocalist), Darryl Carulli and Darryl Lim (guitars), Benjamin Siau (bass) and Boon Lee (drums), are currently recording their debut EP Less Is More, Nothing Is Everything which is slated for a mid 2015 release.

The slower tempo of ‘Departure’ allowed the band room to give more focus on the lyrics. Listen to the lyrics and you’ll realise that ‘Departure’ is about being in a relationship that has become profoundly dissatisfying, and the internal struggle you face when dealing with it. Whether you leave or stay, there’s emotional drudgery.
